The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of claims about inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
