The presents reportedly locked away in a repository on the third floor of the government headquarters. Reports indicate that Meloni furthermore planning to auction off gifts received by her predecessors that have been stored away over a long period.
The full gift list is yet to be disclosed, but some insight were revealed earlier this year when an 11-page list of official presents was submitted to lawmakers. The query focused on if a legal value limit was being honored. According to regulation, a prime minister cannot take home presents worth more than €300.
